Job Summary
As a Behavior Analyst, you will work within an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement interventions for youth, focusing on challenging behaviors and adaptive skills. Responsibilities include conducting functional behavior assessments, creating individual behavior plans, and analyzing data to inform treatment decisions. The role also involves mentoring staff, providing training, and maintaining documentation for regulatory compliance. Candidates must have a Master's degree in Behavior Analysis or a related field, a valid NYS driver's license, and a pathway to licensure as a Licensed Behavior Analyst. The position entails physical demands including the ability to manage crisis situations.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Behavior Analysis or a qualifying related field within 3 months of hire
- Clear path towards New York State licensure as a Licensed Behavior Analyst
- Unrestricted, valid NYS driver’s license with a clean driving record
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to recognize escalated youth behavior and apply effective crisis prevention and intervention techniques
- Knowledge of functional behavior assessments and appropriate interventions
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
Additional Requirements
- May be required to physically restrain clients weighing between 50 and 300 lbs.
