Job Summary
Lead age-appropriate curriculum and plan engaging activities to promote cognitive, social, and emotional development for infants through lower elementary students. Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times while monitoring their progress and documenting development. Create a harmonious environment where children and fellow teachers enjoy coming to each day. Support classrooms, including infants, during split shifts from 7:30-9:30 or 1-6, or full days from 8:30-5:30. Requires MSDE School Age Certification, one year of experience with lower elementary children, and the ability to drive a school-provided van.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- MSDE School Age Certification REQUIRED
- 1 yr experience working with lower Elementary age children
- Comfort driving a van (provided by the school) REQUIRED
- Classroom Experience working with children in a classroom setting, often through student teaching or internships
- Classroom Management Skills includes proficiency in managing classroom behavior, creating a positive learning environment, and implementing discipline strategies
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to interact with parents and other staff members is required
- The ability to be patient, collaborative, creative, and passionate about Early Childhood education is essential for this role
