Job Summary
Guide elementary age participants through sports, arts, STEM, and hands-on learning activities at Before and After-School Enrichment programs. Supervise groups to ensure health, safety, and a positive experience while teaching teamwork and social emotional learning. Implement culturally relevant activities, communicate with parents, and maintain site cleanliness. May provide guidance to staff, prepare snacks, and attend required trainings. Start August 24. Full day programming on non-school days.
Required Qualifications
- 16 years of age or older
- 1-2 years' experience with children; camps, childcare, tutoring, or nannying
- Ability to model and demonstrate Y values: caring, respect, responsibility and honesty
- Experience planning and implementing group activities
- High school diploma or equivalent, or be currently enrolled in high school or an equivalent education program
- Completion of minimum STARS required training
- CPR/First Aid Training
- Cleared Portable Background Check in the statewide registry MERIT
- MMR Vaccination
- TB tests
Desired Qualifications
- 18 or older is preferred
- Prefer knowledge of, and previous experience with, diverse populations (language, culture, race, physical ability, sexual orientation, etc.)
- Ability to speak any language in addition to English may be helpful
- Thrive on working in a collaborative environment
- Are very adaptable
