Job Summary
Guide elementary age participants through sports, arts, STEM, and hands-on learning activities at a Before and After-School Enrichment program, fostering teamwork and social emotional learning while ensuring the health and safety of each child. Implement culturally relevant, developmentally appropriate activities aligned with Youth Development goals, supervise groups to maintain a positive experience, and professionally communicate with parents regarding daily progress. Assist in maintaining site cleanliness, prepare and serve snacks, and attend required staff meetings and trainings. This part-time onsite role begins August 24 across five Seattle locations, offering full-day coverage on non-school days.
Required Qualifications
- 16 years of age or older
- 1-2 years' experience with children; camps, childcare, tutoring, or nannying
- Ability to model and demonstrate Y values: caring, respect, responsibility and honesty
- Experience planning and implementing group activities
- High school diploma or equivalent, or be currently enrolled in high school or an equivalent education program
- Completion of minimum STARS required training
- CPR/First Aid Training
- Cleared Portable Background Check in the statewide registry MERIT
- MMR Vaccination
- TB tests
Desired Qualifications
- 18 or older
- Prefer knowledge of, and previous experience with, diverse populations (language, culture, race, physical ability, sexual orientation, etc.)
- Ability to speak any language in addition to English
