Job Summary
Supervise and ensure the safety of children during activities, meals, and transitions while enforcing emergency protocols. Assist Program Leads in developing curriculum across cognitive, social-emotional, physical, and language domains. Engage children in meaningful play to foster creativity and critical thinking, providing individualized support and positive behavior guidance. Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and leadership regarding child progress. Participate in required training sessions and professional development. Maintain CPR/First Aid certification within 30 days of hire and complete all background checks. Work under the supervision of a qualified Program Lead while meeting service goals and satisfaction scores.
Required Qualifications
- Shall be at least 16 years of age
- Shall work under the supervision of an individual qualified to be a Program Lead
- Staff shall be in good character and reputation
- CPR/First Aid certifications required within 30 days of hire
- Completes all pre-employment requirements including background checks
- Adequate speaking, hearing and writing skills appropriate for interacting with children
- Ability to be on time, every time for scheduled shifts
- Must be physically able to successfully complete required certifications
- Must be able to stand or sit for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to develop positive, authentic relationships with people from different backgrounds
