Job Summary
The Before & After School Site Staff at YMCA plays a vital role in engaging and supervising children aged 6-12 in a variety of high-energy activities. This position involves assisting in program implementation, fostering social, physical, spiritual, and mental growth of participants, and building trusting relationships with parents and school personnel. Youth Workers will demonstrate the core YMCA values: caring, honesty, responsibility, and respect, under the guidance of a Site Director. Required Qualifications
- At least 16 years of age
- Understanding and knowledge of children, their behavior and development
- Ability to lead group discussions and activities including crafts, games, and sports
- Capable of establishing and maintaining positive relationships with youth and parents
