Job Summary
Site Director for before & after school programs at Michigan Avenue Elementary School. Responsible for supervising staff, maintaining communication between school administration and area managers, planning and organizing a structured program of educational and recreational activities, ensuring compliance with district policies, state regulations, and educational standards, and serving as primary point of contact for parents, administration, and students. Requires Child Care Directors Education Credential, childcare management experience (min 2 years), Florida DCF 40-hour training, additional training in special needs or school-age practices, and valid First Aid/CPR certifications. Compensation is $19/hour with biweekly pay; schedule aligns with school year (Aug 2026 – May 2027). Prefer bilingual (English/Spanish), strong leadership and communication skills, and a commitment to inclusive program delivery. Equal opportunity employer.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess a valid Child Care Directors Education Credential
- Childcare management experience for at least 2 years
- Must complete the 40-hour Introductory Child Care Training approved by the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) prior to start date
- Must complete one of the following: Part II “Special Needs Appropriate Practices” or at least 8 hours of training in serving children with disabilities; 10-hour “School-Age Appropriate Practices” module; 5-hour “Understanding Developmentally Appropriate Practices” and 5-hour “School-Age Appropriate Practices” courses
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
- Satisfactory Criminal Background Screening
- Satisfactory Drug Screening
- High School Diploma
- First Aid Certification
- CPR Certification
