Job Summary
Manage day-to-day site operations including schedules, staffing ratios, and documentation while overseeing curriculum implementation and activities. Prioritize child safety by following procedures closely and maintaining licensing compliance for inspections. Supervise and mentor the site team, ensuring training requirements are met and providing coaching. Build strong relationships with families, school staff, and leadership to support student success. Track site resources, attendance, and food program requirements while representing AlphaBEST professionally at community events.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet program staffing needs
- Must be registered and have full clearance from the state childcare licensing agency
- Proof of experience as required by state childcare licensing regulations
- Bachelor's Degree (BS/BA in a related field) or Associate's Degree (AS/AA in a related field)
- A 1-year state or nationally recognized credential (related to school-age care)
- Completion of 20 credits (semester system) or 30 credits (quarter system) of training at a college/university AND at least 1 year of qualifying teaching experience in a Certified Child Care Center (or comparable group care program)
- 2 or more years of qualifying teaching experience (with at least one year as a teacher) in a Certified Child Care Center (or comparable group care program)
- 90 Hour certification needed for licensing requirements- 45 hours growth and development 45 hours school age curriculum
