Before & After School Counselor @ New Providence Elementary School

As Before & After School Counselor, you will implement engaging curriculum and support elementary students’ academic, social, and emotional growth through high-quality programming at New Providence Elementary School. You’ll work in a team to provide safe, structured activities, build positive relationships with students, families, and staff, and communicate with the Site Director. Responsibilities include meeting students’ physical, emotional, and educational needs, adhering to policies and procedures to ensure safety, completing required training, implementing daily curriculum, and providing feedback weekly. Qualifications include being at least 21 years old with a High School Diploma, successful background and drug screenings, and First Aid/CPR/AED certifications. Skills emphasized include reliability, engagement, communication (English; bilingual English/Spanish a plus), problem-solving, and a passion for working with children. Schedule is part-time after-school hours (2:30PM-6:00PM, Monday through Friday) with seasonal camp opportunities and potential full-time hours depending on staffing needs.
