Job Summary
Order and maintain department inventory using control procedures to ensure freshness and quality. Review and validate received orders for amount, quality, count, weight, and condition, then store products in appropriate areas. Manage vendors for stocking, production planning, and date-sensitive rotation while handling spoiled or damaged items per guidelines. Support the department manager with staffing, training, performance management, career development, and goal/forecast monitoring. Execute weekly and period Flight Plans, attend daily huddles and meetings, and maintain a clean, stocked department adhering to food safety, cleaning, and guest experience standards.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent (GED)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Bookkeeping skills
- Good organization, prioritization, decision-making, problem solving and conflict management skills
- Strong leadership abilities
- Capability to work in a hands-on environment
- Good strategic planning and business acumen skills
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Must be able to bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently
- Must be able to work in a varied temperature retail store environment
- Must be able to be exposed to outside weather conditions
- Must be able to work in a low to moderate noise level environment
- Must be able to travel (travel requirements vary by assignment)
