Job Summary
Educate guests on beer and wine attributes, guide them on specific needs, and conduct tastings for in-store demos. Maintain the sanitation and appearance of the Beer Den, ensure marketing materials are properly displayed, and monitor inventory for growlers, glass, and supplies. Wash and prepare growlers, fill them according to established standards, and announce specials on the PA system. Work with category managers to ensure proper pricing and product selection while training other clerks. Follow all state laws governing the sale and purchasing of alcohol. Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications
- Working understanding of beer and wine
- Familiarity with ALE laws governing sell, and purchasing of beer and wine products
- Sales minded with effective communication, guest service and selling skills
- Friendly, outgoing personality
- Self-motivated, trustworthy and able to adhere to all guidelines
- Ability to work well with others
- Ability to read and understand information and direction
- Ability to effectively communicate with Store Manager, DSD Receiver and vendors
- Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift 30lbs. consistently and 50lbs. occasionally
- Must be at least 21 years old
