Job Summary
Bartender needed to open the lounge, prepare service, and create a relaxed, polished guest experience. Responsibilities include preparing beer, wine, cocktails, non-alcoholic drinks and light bites, recommending drinks based on guest preferences, learning about local spirits and wines, stocking and closing the bar, maintaining clean stations, handling POS transactions, monitoring guest comfort and alcohol service per policies, and assisting with inventory and product rotation. The role emphasizes warm, personalized hospitality, teamwork with the inn staff, and adaptability for daytime operations, evenings, events, and private gatherings. RequiredSkills/traits include a calm, organized presence, ability to read the room, excellent guest interaction, and the ability to work independently once a shift begins. Schedule may include afternoons, evenings, weekends, and some holidays; 21+ and CT alcohol-service compliance are required. Required Qualifications
- Prior bartending or beverage service experience preferred.
- TIPS, ServSafe Alcohol, or similar certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
- Must be 21+ and legally authorized to serve alcohol.
- Reliable transportation to Greenwich, CT.
- Comfortable standing for long periods and lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Able to work in a historic property environment, including stairs as needed.
- Customer-facing service experience strongly preferred.
- Must be able to follow all Connecticut alcohol service laws and house policies.
