Job Summary
Set and achieve sales goals for in-store and digital channels using text and social media tools. Initiate service consultations through open-ended questions to identify customer preferences, then build lasting relationships by following up on purchases and suggesting new products. Grow sales by focusing on appointment-based selling, utilizing technology to open new Nordstrom Rewards accounts, and creating in-store events while networking in the community. Maintain expertise by seeking industry trends and building strong vendor relationships within each Beauty brand. This role requires continuous movement for 6-8 hours per shift involving lifting up to 25 pounds, with hours varying weekly based on business needs.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of Beauty industry experience
- The ability to work a flexible schedule based on department needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organization and follow-through
- A high level of ownership, accountability and initiative
- The ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Continuous movement for 6-8 hours per shift, which includes frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing and reaching in order to handle merchandise and assist customers
- Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling
- Handle bulky and sometimes awkwardly shaped items, which includes reaching for and lifting these items above the head
- Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds
