Job Summary
Set and achieve sales goals for in-store and digital channels by maximizing demonstration techniques and utilizing text and social media tools. Initiate service consultations through open-ended questions to identify customer preferences, then build lasting relationships by following up on purchases and suggesting new products. Grow sales through appointment-based selling, opening Nordstrom Rewards accounts, and creating community events while maintaining strong vendor relationships across Beauty brands. Requires 1+ years of Beauty industry experience, the ability to work a flexible schedule, and physical stamina for continuous movement and lifting up to 25 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of Beauty industry experience
- The ability to work a flexible schedule based on department needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organization and follow-through
- A high level of ownership, accountability and initiative
- The ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Continuous movement for 6-8 hours per shift, which includes frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing and reaching in order to handle merchandise and assist customers
- Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling
- Handle bulky and sometimes awkwardly shaped items, which includes reaching for and lifting these items above the head
- Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds
