Job Summary
Conduct best-in-class beauty consultations and product recommendations while uncovering client needs and ensuring satisfaction. Manage boutique operations by overseeing stock organization, tester hygiene, and visual merchandising in the East Hampton store opening May 2026. Deliver makeup application for talent and partners, execute makeup lessons and artist residencies, and leverage social media outreach to recruit and loyalize clientele. Achieve sales goals and hit key metrics through strategic client development and vendor training participation.
Required Qualifications
- Strong retail beauty sales background
- Luxury brand and boutique experience
- Understanding of VIOLET GREY as The Industry's Beauty Edit
- Knowledge of VIOLET GREY's heritage
- Ability to conduct business activities in a manner befitting an intimate retail space
- Ability to foster teamwork, diplomacy, and professionalism with boutique staff, corporate and brand partners, The Committee, and friends of VIOLET GREY
- Ability to contribute to building the business by achieving sales goals and hitting key metrics
- Ability to leverage products, promotions, services, and data-capture to recruit and loyalize clientele
- Proficient knowledge of brands and product offerings and their points of difference
- Ability to attend vendor trainings to stay abreast of new launches and to refresh base knowledge
- Ability to act as steward of stock organization, tester hygiene, and visual merchandising in the boutique
- Ability to discover client preferences and lifestyle needs to recommend products that satisfy and promote credibility and repeat business
- Omni-channel mindset to seamlessly service clients through all touchpoints
- Ability to address and resolve client situations according to company standards
- Ability to provide makeup application for talent, company partners, and all others required by VIOLET GREY
- Ability to observe social media etiquette when posting about the company, its brand partners, and products
- Willingness to participate voluntarily to be photographed or filmed for social media content
- Self-motivation and ability to strategize own business
