Join Beasley Timber Co. as a Set Out Truck & Trim Saw Operator, where you will operate equipment to move and prepare trees in various conditions. Responsibilities include maintaining equipment, following safety protocols, and effectively communicating within the team. Candidates should possess experience in forestry operations, knowledge of felling techniques, and the ability to adapt to changing schedules. Personal Protective Equipment is required at all times.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience operating a Set Out Truck and Trim Saw in a forestry or related industry
- Ability and desire to work safely
- Extensive knowledge of felling techniques, equipment, and safety protocols
- Physical stamina to withstand long hours of equipment operation
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues
- Must be able to read and understand “Georgia’s Best Management Practices for Forestry”
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to adapt to changing work schedules and weather conditions
- Must be able to back a log trailer
- Must be able to operate a truck with clutch and a manual transmission
- Must be either an experienced operator or be adequately trained.
