Job Summary
The Beach Bar Bartender at AVA Beach Bar is responsible for delivering an energetic and professional customer service experience. Key duties include mixing and serving drinks, communicating with guests, ensuring proper identification is checked for age compliance, accurately processing orders and payments, and completing assigned side work. Candidates should have 1-2 years of bartending experience, knowledge of various beverage types, and must possess necessary certifications as per local regulations.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1-2 years experience with bartending at high volume bars and/or nightclubs
- Knowledge of liquor brands, beer, wine, champagne, non-alcoholic beverages, designated glassware, preparation methods and garnishments
- Must meet state legal age requirements
- Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required by local or state government agency
Desired Qualifications
- Formal bartending training preferred
- Fluent in English, other languages preferred
