Job Summary

Conduct full-spectrum infectious disease care across Bowling Green Medical Center and satellite rural facilities via inpatient consultation, outpatient clinic, and telehealth services. Manage a weekly rotating schedule involving on-call coverage, clinic duties, and bridge rotations with nurse practitioner support. Lead initiatives within the Antibiotic Stewardship Program, Infection Prevention and Control Program, and Sepsis Committee while supporting UK resident graduate medical education and WKU medical students. Utilize Meditech EMR (transitioning to EPIC in December 2026) to manage an average daily hospital census of 35 and 15 weekly clinic appointments.

Required Qualifications

  • 100% Infectious Disease specialty service
  • Weekly rotating schedule
  • On-call 7 days covering in-patient service (carries pager after office hours)
  • Clinic 3 days (recovers 2 days from worked weekend)
  • Bridge 5 days covering in-patient service with NP support and morning clinic on 2 days (in-patient telehealth for satellite hospitals)
  • Bridge 5 days covering clinic and outpatient telehealth for satellite hospitals
  • 1:4 weekly rotating schedule
  • On-call provider carries pager after office hours
  • Infectious Diseases and Travel Medicine
