Job Summary
The Business Development Specialist is responsible for the overall design, management, and execution of the Company’s Business Development Department in the assigned area. This position will be responsible for developing and promoting a strategic sale and marketing plan that will achieve or exceed budgeted census goals in the assigned area. Key activities include developing strategic relationships with referral sources in acute care and physician practices, leading sales and marketing initiatives to grow market share, evaluating advertising and collateral to meet market standards, coordinating training and development for the sales team, monitoring lead conversion, and ensuring alignment with census growth objectives. Requires 3 years of Home Health BD experience, knowledge of Home Health and Long Term Care markets, strong communication and organizational skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and a background in marketing-related education (preferred). Required Qualifications
- 3 years of Home Health experience in implementing successful business development strategies in local markets
- Thorough understanding of Home Health, Long Term Care Market and referral sources including acute care markets in the assigned geographic area
- History of successful sales training of internal and external business development staff
- Proven history of achieving or exceeding admission goals
- Ability to identify market needs and trends
- Excellent communication and organization skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
- Some college education in a Marketing related field, preferred
- Ability to read, write, and speak the English language
