Job Summary
The BD Services Manager role involves supporting the management of the BD services team for the Tunnel and Underground Business Unit, focusing on business development, strategy implementation, and client management. Key responsibilities include collaborating with senior executives and internal stakeholders to lead proposal development, manage the proposal lifecycle, and ensure compliance with RFP and SOQ requirements. The position requires strong skills in written and verbal communication, organization, and teamwork, along with proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite. The candidate should have experience in proposal development within the AEC industry and be capable of leading cross-functional teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in liberal arts, communications, or marketing preferred
- Effective teamwork skills
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Excellent organizational skills to manage timelines, resources and multiple tasks
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Capability to analyze solicitation documents and RFPs and develop strategic responses
Desired Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in proposal development, preferably in the AEC industry
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign/Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office
- Exceptional understanding of database management - Deltek Vantagepoint experience preferred
- Ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional teams, including SMEs and teaming partners
- Willingness to work extra hours and/or different time zones, if needed to meet deadlines
- Willingness to travel as necessary to offices and professional meetings, as well as client meetings
Additional Requirements
- Ability to pass a background check which may include criminal history, motor vehicle record and credit check
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening
