Job Summary
Oversee all programming areas and supervise ABA Therapists and Interventionists, providing training in discrete trial and natural environment models. Develop and implement assessment tools, conduct functional analyses, and create behavior plans to teach replacement behaviors and reduce maladaptive actions. Facilitate direct instruction, practicum supervision, and family training while collaborating with staff to promote positive student behavior using evidence-based strategies. Establish data collection systems to assess program efficacy and engage families on waiting lists for admission. Submit mileage reimbursements for travel to partnering schools and perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in applied behavior analysis, special education, psychology or related discipline
- Current State Licensed and Board-Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (as certified by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
- Keep current with the literature, new research findings, and resources
- continuing education courses to maintain BCaBA certification
- Experience in crisis intervention and conflict resolution skills
- Safety-Care Crisis Prevention Training
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain a positive collaborative relationship among staff
- Experience working with various funding streams and other third-party sources
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Proficient in computer skills, especially using Outlook, Word, Excel, and customized databases
- Understanding and the ability to maintain appropriate boundaries with staff and clients in all circumstances
- Program development, evaluation, solid organizational skills, and public speaking
- Good interpersonal skills, ability to relate well with persons from a variety of socioeconomic and cultural groups
- Demonstrates initiative, self-motivation, practical learning skills, enthusiasm, and an ability to complete tasks in a timely and accurate manner
- Valid Louisiana Driver's License
