Job Summary
Supervise all programming areas, including direct support professionals and trainers, by providing oversight, model teaching, and in-service instruction. Develop and implement behavior plans and assessment tools to reduce maladaptive behaviors while creating data collection systems to guide program efficacy. Facilitate training in Applied Behavior Analysis using discrete trial and natural environment models, and consult with families, community agencies, and staff on ongoing consumer issues. Enter session notes into Set Works within 72 hours and maintain communication with all constituents. Review and sign off on field staff training, keeping current with literature and continuing education to maintain BCBA certification.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Special Education or related human services field
- Successful completion of internship and/or formal training in the analysis of behavior and instructional strategies training related to working with clients who have pervasive developmental disorders and related disorders, their parents, and other agencies working with clients
- Ability to demonstrate competence in behavior management skills, instructional skills, oral and written communication, organizational skills and interpersonal relations
- Ability to work with a variety of clients in regard to age, functionality, and with minimal direction
- Certified as a BCBA for a minimum of 2 years, unless prior approval is granted by Executive Director
- Knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook systems
- Ability to utilize a fax machine, phone system, and other office materials as necessary for the position
- Ability to respond quickly to phone calls, text messages, and emails
- Current on all required trainings/certifications
