Job Summary
Work directly with teens (grades 8-12) to create impactful programming, coach them on recruitment and retention strategies, and support their execution of chapter calendars. Be present at chapter events and meetings to provide guidance, supervision, and mentorship while ensuring participation in region-wide and organization-wide initiatives. Track and analyze chapter data on attendance, engagement, and membership trends to inform strategy and coach teen leaders on goal-setting. Build strong, sustainable chapters by strengthening recruitment, retention, and leadership pipelines, identifying engagement gaps, and implementing targeted outreach plans. Partner with teen leaders to improve key metrics including membership growth, engagement rates, and leadership development. This role requires 8-10 hours per week from September to May, with some nights and weekends, and candidates must live near Austin, TX.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 3 years removed from high school
- Role has in-person responsibilities
- Candidate must live within or close to Austin, TX
- Active participation at local chapter programs is required
- Chapter program on average 2-4x a month
- Ability to transport self to and from chapter or regional events
- The number of hours worked per week is flexible, but at minimum 8 hours per week
- A creative and responsible self-starter who is comfortable with both taking initiative and working in collaboration with teens
- Detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. without holding a visa or sponsorship
- Time Commitment: 8-10 hours a week (will vary), some nights and weekends required
