BAYHEALTH EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT PHYSICIAN

Emergency physicians provide comprehensive care to patients of all ages in the Emergency Department, including resuscitation, stabilization, and referral to appropriate medical departments. They evaluate a wide variety of emergencies, determine appropriate treatment plans, order and interpret tests, develop patient care plans, coordinate with other departments, maintain medical records and EPIC documentation within 72 hours, attend staff and committee meetings when not on night or late shifts, maintain licenses and required certifications, and participate in ongoing education and credentialing as part of Bayhealth’s clinical practice across the Dover, Milford, Smyrna, and Milton campuses.
