BATTERY TECHNICIAN

Job Summary
Repair and maintain electric industrial trucks by reading work orders and listening to the truck in operation to determine malfunction, performing mechanical repairs after inspection, writing complete repair descriptions with correct model and serial number and recording hour meter readings, and documenting battery data (specific gravity and load test results) on the work order, then turning all paperwork into the shop service coordinator daily. Requires a high school diploma or GED (or equivalent), and 1-3 months related experience or training, plus a valid driver’s license. Work environment varies from office to job site and industrial locations.
