Job Summary
Battery Pack Specialist role focusing on developing and optimizing manufacturing processes for battery packs, including module and pack assembly. Lead process validation, qualification, and continuous improvement, collaborating with engineering, quality, and operations. Apply design for manufacturability (DFM) and scalability, troubleshoot process issues, and create and maintain SOPs/work instructions. Support pilot builds and NPI activities. Contract position lasting 6 months with potential to extend, requiring the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Pay is $100/hour.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent hands-on experience)
- Proven experience in battery pack manufacturing or process development
- Strong knowledge of battery systems, modules, and pack assembly processes
- Experience with process optimization methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma
- Ability to work independently and drive outcomes in a dynamic, project-based environment
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
