Job Summary
Entry-level Battery Lab Technician supporting Toyota's Performance Analysis and Evaluation Thermal group. Responsibilities include fabricating prototype battery cells, performing disassembly and performance testing, managing evaluation data, and helping implement digital tools while following safety and Kaizen principles. Requires an Associate degree or higher and at least 1 year of lab experience; travel up to 10% and no visa sponsorship provided.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree or higher in a related technical field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 1 year hands-on laboratory evaluation experience
- Minimum 1 year experience measuring and mixing chemicals in a fume hood and glove box environment
- Basic electrical knowledge including wiring and measuring with a voltmeter; ability to read electrical diagrams
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for data analysis and reporting
- Willingness to learn and adhere to lab safety procedures; safety-first mindset
- Willingness to travel up to 10% and work overtime as required
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with battery lab equipment such as cycling, thermal chamber, ESR, and impedance measurement equipment
- Chemistry or related technical field background (preferred)
- Familiarity with Toyota Way / TBP principles (preferred)
