Job Summary
Inspect, maintain, and repair motive power equipment including battery and charger systems at customer sites and Concentric shops. Perform routine preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and field repairs while coordinating problem resolution with technical support and customer service. Travel daily to various branches and sites for product installation, removal, or repairs, including some overnight trips. Complete service orders, PM worksheets, timecards, and expense reports accurately, and maintain strong relationships with clients. Adhere to all safety regulations, OSHA, DOT, and Hazmat policies while taking ownership of company assets.
Required Qualifications
- High School or GED
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
- Possess a valid driver's license
- Must be at least 18 years old to drive 'Intrastate'
- Must be at least 21 years old to driver 'Interstate'
- Must have a valid driver's license at all times
- Must have a valid DOT medical card or the ability to obtain DOT medical card per DOT/FMCA guidelines during the hiring process
- Must continue to maintain their active medical card status throughout their employment
- Must follow the DOT's HOS regulations
- Must be able to obtain a CDL to drive commercial motor vehicles or combination vehicles weighing more than 26,000 lbs
- Working knowledge of basic AC and DC electrical/electronic theory
- Strong communication, problem solving, and analytical skills
- Ability to organize his/her own work and work independently, with limited supervision
- Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and with diverse needs, and across remote offices
- Ability to clearly articulate ideas (both written and verbal) to both internal and external customers and to listen effectively to customer needs
- Ability to develop and maintain strong workplace relationships with an emphasis on customer satisfaction
- Ability to work collaboratively with other departments toward the greater good of the organization
- Ability to adapt to a fast-changing environment
- Willingness to work occasional overtime
- Travel daily, some overnight travel required
- Concentric Technicians may need to travel out of state to perform work
- Drivers must be able to obtain a CDL to drive commercial motor vehicles or combination vehicles weighing more than 26,000 lbs
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus
- Must maintain a high level of self-awareness about their surroundings due to conditions existing in the work environment
- Must be able to wear approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Desired Qualifications
- Certification from a technical school focused on electrical, mechanical repair or battery maintenance
- Associate degree from an approved two-year college or university
- Equivalent experience to an Associate degree
- Possess a valid driver's license, CDL a plus but not required
- May be required to pass additional requirements under the Department of Transportation (DOT)
