Job Summary
Battery Assembler responsibilities include rotating through various tasks in the production process; assembling cables, battery packs, and electro-mechanical components; following quality standards and work instructions; engaging in cross-training across production areas; using lead-free solder on PC boards; providing feedback to engineers and cell leads for continuous improvement; and performing other duties as assigned. Training on IPC-620 standards and general assembly processes will be provided, along with exposure to welding and basic Cirris testing as described in SOP 8.3.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English during work hours
- Basic computer skills
- Fundamental knowledge of hand tools and measuring devices
- Ability to perform precise work with accuracy
- Ability to understand and apply basic technical concepts
- Adaptability to changes in the workplace and processes
- Effective time management to meet deadlines
- Capacity to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive assembly tasks
- Exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, and chemical handling as per safety protocols
- Willingness to wear PPE (safety glasses, gloves, lab coats)
