Job Summary
Lead technical mastery of battery active materials (cathode, anode, electrolyte) and their manufacturing processes during industrial scale-up. Act as the interface between R&D and suppliers to translate scientific requirements into technical specifications, identifying and qualifying international partners in China, South Korea, and Japan. Manage supplier qualification cycles from sample evaluation through scale-up, co-developing product specs, quality standards, FMEA, and control plans. Collaborate with R&D, Production, Quality, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Process Engineering teams to ensure product quality, performance, and supply chain security. Based in Amiens with a hybrid model and regular international travel.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree or Engineering degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Chemistry, Electrochemistry, Materials Science, Process Engineering, or a related discipline
- Strong expertise in active materials chemistry (cathode, anode, and/or electrolyte) or in the development and industrialization of complex materials within an industrial environment
- Significant experience in the development and qualification of industrial suppliers and have successfully supported at least one complete industrial development cycle, from material qualification through manufacturing scale-up
- Ability to translate R&D requirements into clear technical and industrial specifications for suppliers
- Strong understanding of manufacturing and industrialization processes
- Technical specification writing
- Quality management tools such as FMEA, control plans, and qualification protocols
- Cross-functional project management within an international industrial environment
- Comfort collaborating with international industrial partners, particularly in China, South Korea, and Japan
- Fluency in English
