Batch Plant Operator

Job Summary
Operate and maintain concrete batch plants, including startup procedures, daily inspections of hoppers and conveyors, and end-of-day shutdowns. Oversee drivers, loader operators, and yard workers while monitoring raw materials and ready-mix concrete for quantity and quality. Perform maintenance tasks such as lubrication schedules, spill clean-up, and silo clean-up, and assist with filling out regulatory reports for TCEQ and TxDOT. Spot check loads for quality control and ensure correct materials are stocked for the next day. Be proficient in batch and dispatch programs, follow environmental rules, and wear required PPE. Work flexible shifts based on production needs in outdoor conditions with exposure to extreme heat and cold.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess a valid Texas issued driver's license.
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be able to pass a drug test.
- Must be able to perform all job functions which include, but may not be limited to, pushing, turning, and/or pulling of controls.
- Employee must be able to climb a ladder and work at heights up to 80 feet.
- Must wear personal protective equipment when required.
- Employee must be able to lift 100 lbs. sack 4 1⁄2 Feet high.
- Available to work a flexible schedule based on production need.
