Job Summary
Operate and monitor asphalt plant equipment to ensure safe and efficient production while performing routine inspections, basic troubleshooting, and adjustments on plant systems. Coordinate material flow to meet production demands and quality specifications, then complete daily operational logs and communicate issues promptly. Support safe work practices, housekeeping, and team collaboration across the site. This role requires working nights and weekends as needed in environments with moving mechanical equipment and elevated noise levels. The position offers a competitive hourly rate plus shift differential, medical, dental, vision, and retirement benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to operate and learn plant systems, controls, and related equipment
- Strong awareness of safety practices in industrial or manufacturing settings
- Capability to perform basic mechanical troubleshooting and equipment checks
- Dependability in following procedures, documentation, and production standards
- Effective communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work nights/ weekends as needed
- Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination
- Successful candidate must submit to drug/alcohol screen
- Successful candidate must submit to background check
- FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing
