Batch Plant Operator

Job Summary
Oversee all plant operations, coordinate daily paperwork with superintendents, and manage maintenance and mobilization. Ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently; maintain current reports; follow all safety policies and environmental regulations; attendance required. Responsibilities include testing of materials and weighing/mixing aggregates, cement, and water; setup/teardown of the concrete batch plant; ordering materials; and repairing machinery using hand tools, power tools, welding, with favorable consideration for ability to perform electrical repairs. Requires thorough knowledge of concrete batching, computer literacy, and ACI Level 1 certification within the first year. Must have excellent communication and organizational skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and experience with front-end loaders.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years with concrete batching in ready mix or concrete paving
- Technical training or related experience with concrete batching
- Thorough knowledge of all aspects of concrete batching technology, equipment, methods, and safety procedures
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Experience with front-end loaders
