Batch Plant Maintenance Mechanic

Job Summary
Maintain and repair all machinery and mechanical equipment in the plant, including automobiles, tractors, cranes, trailers, production machinery, and lift trucks. Diagnose trouble sources, dismantle and reassemble machines, replace broken parts, and order necessary replacements. Make adjustments to ensure proper operation and keep building structures, electrical systems, plumbing fixtures, and HVAC in good repair. Overhaul internal combustion engines, rebuild carburetors, and repair transmissions, fuel injection, lighting, and ignition systems. Follow all safety and quality rules to ensure a safe working environment and high-quality product production.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
- broad range of experience on various types of equipment including automobiles, tractors, cranes, trailers, production machinery, Travelift, loaders, pick up trucks, lift trucks, etc.
- knowledge of building structures and their mechanical, electrical, heating, air conditioning and sanitary systems
