Job Summary
Operate a loader to move, load, and distribute various subgrade and roadway materials while supporting plant operations and general dirt work as assigned. Conduct pre-shift inspections, report maintenance needs, maintain equipment cleanliness, and communicate effectively with supervisors to coordinate material flow. Adhere strictly to all company and project safety rules, policies, and procedures. Perform tasks requiring extended periods of sitting, walking, or standing, and execute additional duties as directed by the supervisor. This role requires a minimum of four years of heavy equipment experience, proficiency in loader operation for material handling and site preparation, and the physical ability to walk on uneven terrain and climb equipment ladders.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of experience operating heavy equipment, including loaders
- Proficient in loader operation for material handling, subgrade work, and site preparation
- Physical ability to perform assigned tasks, including walking on uneven terrain and climbing equipment ladders
- Knowledge of general construction and equipment operation safety procedures
- Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work effectively as part of a team
- Willingness to learn and take direction from supervisors to improve operational skills
- Strong commitment to safety and maintaining a clean, organized work environment
- Relocation may be required for ongoing opportunities and career growth
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with other heavy equipment such as excavators, backhoes, or dozers preferred
