Job Summary
This contract role is focused on designing, implementing, and maintaining batch processing systems, ensuring efficient and reliable batch workload automation. The Batch Application Engineer will manage batch scheduling tools, troubleshoot incidents, and collaborate with multiple teams to optimize batch job schedules.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 6 years managing the Batch Scheduling Tool – Patching, Configuration
- Minimum 2-3 years direct, hands-on experience with Redwood Run my Jobs – Day-to-Day Administration, Configuration, Troubleshooting
- Strong knowledge on application upgrades and installations
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency in using batch scheduling tools and technologies (e.g., IBM Tivoli Work Scheduler, Control-M, ActiveBatch)
- Ability to write scripts and automate tasks for scheduling and monitoring
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve issues
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical teams
