Job Summary
High School Business Education Teacher responsible for delivering standards-aligned CTE instruction in business, entrepreneurship, and customer service; developing student workforce readiness; integrating technology and business software into instruction; aligning instruction to career pathways and industry credentials; using data and assessments to differentiate instruction; maintaining an engaging PBIS-aligned classroom; supporting career exploration and work-based learning; collaborating through PLCs; ensuring FERPA, IDEA, and Section 504 compliance; engaging families and community partners; employed at Bastrop High School (Title I) on a 9-month contract; requires a Bachelor’s degree and Louisiana teaching certification in Business Education (Master’s degree preferred).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- Valid Louisiana Teaching Certificate in Business Education or eligibility through LDOE
- Knowledge of Louisiana CTE standards and graduation pathways
- Skills in classroom management and instructional planning
- Proficiency in business technologies and software tools
- Understanding of education laws (FERPA, IDEA, Section 504)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
