Basketball/Wrestling Ministry Director

Job Summary
Plan and implement basketball and wrestling leagues, camps, clinics, and tournaments while recruiting mission-aligned players and coaches. Secure referees, clock operators, and scorekeepers, then collect fees and manage budgets to ensure fiscal compliance. Track player and volunteer data to create improvement plans, travel with teams to tournaments, and instill spiritual disciplines using FCA curriculum. Communicate with parents to encourage volunteer participation and connect players to broader ministry programs. Maintain sound fiscal management, coordinate with the communications team for branding, and ensure safety rules are followed. Participate in organizational meetings, including extended hours as needed, while maintaining a current CDL to drive large vehicles.
Required Qualifications
- Dedicated Christian with clear knowledge of the Gospel and a passion for the mission of Emerald Youth Foundation
- Connected to a church community
- Strong reputation for honesty, integrity, and high moral standards
- 3+ years' experience in a similar role
- Experience in a program serving urban youth
- Technical/Personal basketball experience
- Willingness to obtain CDL with P endorsement and drive large vehicles/buses
- Good driving record
- Willingness to work extended hours
Desired Qualifications
- Sports Management or related bachelor's degree
- Experience as collegiate athlete
- Wrestling experience
- Experience working in business or non-profit management
- Experience managing people
- Proficient in using technology as a management reporting tool and communication tool
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and business acumen
- Ability to achieve results under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to work efficiently in a collaborative setting
