Job Summary
Execute event set-up, check-in, and run-of-show operations while managing all staff and collaborating with coaching teams to ensure a first-class experience for players and parents. Lead planning efforts by organizing detailed checklists with headquarters, communicate with facility contacts, check-in workers, coaches, and officials, and deliver motivational messages to groups of 50–300 attendees. Think on your feet to solve problems on the fly and adjust to situations both in and out of your control. Work weekends from August to October, with flexibility to choose local or travel assignments.
Required Qualifications
- current or past basketball coach
- strong passion for the game
- Strong ability to multitask and prioritize competing priorities
- Experience in running events or camps with 50-300 participants and a team of coaches
- Proven ability to make decisions under pressure, and solve problems on the fly
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Experience working with and managing groups of people of 10 or more
- Proficient in working in Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc.
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to speak in front of a group 50-300 players/parents and deliver a motivational message
