Job Summary
Sport Coordinator for youth basketball season duties include supporting volunteer coaches, enforcing i9 Sports rules to maintain a fun, learning, and safe environment, keeping time and score during games, and managing age-appropriate levels of instruction and competition. Role may involve filling in as a coach weekly. Games run September 20, 2025 through November 1, 2025 at Madison Street United Methodist Church in Tampa, with games on Saturdays from 11:30 am to 5:30 pm. Payment is $150 per Saturday. The position focuses on teamwork, customer service, safety, and positive relationships with players, coaches, and families.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills
- Sport-specific officiating, playing, or coaching experience
- Highly motivated self-starter; can work independently & solve problems
- Awareness & ability to take charge of any situation to ensure the safety of players
- Positive attitude and a strong ability to build professional relationships
