Job Summary
Officiate recreational basketball leagues on a seasonal basis, instructing players on rules and maintaining a professional, impartial atmosphere. Report game-related problems or player issues to site management and discipline disruptive behavior using facility standards. Dress appropriately and exercise authority in a firm, controlled manner while providing excellent customer service to participants and spectators. Work 2 hours per week on a designated day at a client site in Racine, WI, with a competitive hourly rate of $40.00 - $45.00. Must be a certified basketball referee, at least 18 years old, and possess strong communication and decision-making skills.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older
- Must be a certified basketball referee
- Strong verbal communication skills with both children and adults
- Knowledge of standard rules of play of the game being played
- Active listening skills and ability to relate to and provide excellent customer service to participants and spectators
- Ability to work independently, problem solve, and make decisions with limited supervision
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy and thoroughness
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability make quick decisions, possess mature judgment, and sound decision-making
- Applicants must meet hiring requirements including but not limited to pre-employment drug test
Desired Qualifications
- CPR/AED/first aid certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross preferred
