Job Summary
Seasonal Junior Varsity Girls Basketball Coach responsible for all aspects of team operation, including rostering, practices, and games schedules.Motivates student-athletes, instructs in game strategies and techniques, and serves as a positive role model. Oversees transportation, inventory/issuance of uniforms and equipment, and maintains required records and forms. Organizes travel logistics and manages data related to the program. Requires CPR/AED/First Aid training, Coaching Education online course, and Concussion Prevention Training prior to working with student athletes; these are arranged at applicant/employee expense or via school program. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential; FBI fingerprint check and a Child Protective Services background check are required for employment; start date Winter 2027; location at Phoebus High, Hampton, VA.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of skills and tactics of sport
- Experience coaching preferred
