Job Summary
Direct the varsity girls basketball program for the Freshman season, supervise and evaluate assistant coaches, coordinate training, conditioning, and competition, advise athletic leadership on schedules, equipment, facilities, and eligibility, and foster sportsmanship, school pride, and community spirit. Lead the team at varsity contests and support junior varsity and freshman contests, collaborate with the athletic director and principal on staffing, insurance, scheduling, and officiating evaluations, and develop recruitment and support roles (equipment managers, scorekeepers, statisticians, etc.) while ensuring medical examinations for athletes before the season and maintaining athletic records and eligibility lists.
Required Qualifications
- Coaching experience or participation in the sport which you are applying for on high school or college levels
- Completion of CPR and First Aid training or enrollment in current CPR and First Aid training course
- Prefer experience as a teacher or classified employee in Loudoun County Public Schools
- Prefer a Virginia Teaching License candidate or a full-time classified employee for Loudoun County Public Schools
