Job Summary
Assist in planning, developing and implementing the sport program under the guidance of the coach; support administration of the sport program; foster a conducive learning climate; implement improvement processes; maintain professional work habits; upgrade coaching skills; communicate with parents and community; implement fundamentals of coaching and sports management systems; collaborate with principal and head coach; organize coaching staff; engage with participants, student body, faculty, parents and officials; comply with NFHS coaching courses and CPR requirements; participate in required onboarding and health screenings; perform other duties as assigned; evening/weekend coaching responsibilities likely.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years old
- HS Diploma or GED
- coaching experience preferred
- All coaches must complete NFHS.com coaching courses: Fundamentals of Coaching (8 +/- hour), Concussion Training (45 minute)
- CPR certification for paid coaches
- HR onboarding policies
- HR screening (drug test and background check)
- current health physical and TB test
