Job Summary
Deliver exceptional customer service by engaging shoppers, determining their needs, recommending products, and promoting the Scheels Visa Credit Card. Maintain expert-level knowledge in all selling areas and lead product knowledge training for other associates. Consistently meet or exceed personal sales goals while managing inventory through Internal Flash Reports and ensuring merchandise is properly displayed and replenished. Keep the sales floor organized with accurate price tagging and signage, maintain a professional appearance, and communicate professionally with associates, the Scheels Campus, and vendors. Ensure work areas meet safety standards and follow all safety procedures. Ability to work assigned schedule including varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 1-3 months of related experience or training
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation
- Heavy work – Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
- Ability to work assigned schedule; may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Including product knowledge meetings
- Ability to perform basic math; perform operations using units of currency, measurements, and understand percentages
