Job Summary
Oversee daily field setup, readiness, and breakdown for games and practices while ensuring proper stocking of game balls and essential equipment. Manage team movement to keep games on schedule, communicate inning and time limits to coaches and umpires, and enforce tournament rules and safety protocols. Serve as the primary on-field liaison for assigned teams, assist with pre-game warm-ups, answer rules-related questions, and hold coaches accountable to appropriate teaching standards. Support or oversee skills workouts, track attendance, and manage on-field equipment inventory throughout the event. Represent the All-Ripken brand with professionalism and energy, collaborating closely with umpires, coaches, and operations staff to ensure smooth execution. Requires availability for multi-day events including early mornings, evenings, and weekends in Pigeon Forge, TN.
Required Qualifications
- High School Head Coaching experience
- College coaching experience
- College or professional playing experience
- Strong working knowledge of baseball/softball rules, game management, and player safety standards
- Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple teams, games, and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Professional demeanor and ability to work collaboratively with coaches, umpires, staff, and families
- Requires availability for multi-day events, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
- Selected applicants may be required to complete a background check prior to assignment
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience with tournaments, showcases, or all-star style events
- Experience supervising staff or coordinating on-field operations
- Background in athlete development, evaluation, or performance training
