Job Summary
BASE Site Leader oversees the overall management and supervision of the BASE program site, plans and implements activities, ensures safety and well-being of students, and supervises staff. Acts as the primary contact for parents and school administration/faculty, maintains daily schedules and student tracking, ensures staff-to-student ratios, and handles day-to-day operations, communications, and compliance with Park District and school policies. Requires a High School Diploma, 2+ years’ experience with children in educational/recreational settings, supervisory experience, CPR/First Aid/AED certification (or ability to obtain), and strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. This is a part-time, non-exempt position in La Grange, IL, with responsibilities including activity planning, staffing, safety, record-keeping, and parental/school liaison.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with children in an educational or recreational setting
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience
- Must be CPR/First Aid/AED certified or ability to obtain upon hire
- Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle stressful situations and ability to resolve conflicts effectively

- Coursework in Education, Child Development, or related field
