Job Summary
Lead Base Line Pilots, coordinate duty schedules with the Regional Director of Flight Operations, and manage flight planning resources for mission support at the base. Conduct local area orientations for new hires, review and submit monthly flight logs, and monitor pilots for day-to-day management of flight and administrative issues. Operate aircraft safely in compliance with the Rotorcraft Flight Manual, conduct preflight inspections, and report discrepancies to maintenance. Monitor forecast changes and weather situations before accepting transports or flights. Submit payroll grids to the Regional Director and ensure all operations comply with Federal Aviation Regulations and Air Evac EMS Operations Manual. Work a 7/7 schedule with 24-hour base housing provided.
Required Qualifications
- 2000 hours total flight time
- 1500 hours helicopter time
- 1000 hours helicopter pilot in command
- 500 hours turbine
- 100 hours night unaided, or 50 hours unaided with 100 hours aided
- Rotorcraft-Helicopter Commercial Certificate
- Rotorcraft-Helicopter Instrument Rating
- 230-pound weight limit dressed in flight suit and boots
Desired Qualifications
- Previous HAA experience or equivalent
- One year of experience as a Pilot with a GMR company
- Previous supervisory experience helpful
