BASE Instructor

BASE Instructors are responsible for following the lesson plans provided by the Site Leader, directing and overseeing activities, and assisting with participants’ needs. They plan, implement, and lead a variety of age-appropriate recreational and enrichment activities for children, provide safety and wellbeing, supervise activities to maintain the staff-to-student ratio, enforce Park District and school district rules, communicate effectively with adults and children, and participate in required trainings and meetings. The role requires the ability to react calmly in emergencies, work well with others, and be flexible and dependable; basic Microsoft Office skills are expected. The position is part-time and includes the listed benefits for La Grange District programs.
