Job Summary
Commission HVAC control systems through retro-commissioning, preventative maintenance, and platform upgrades from legacy to modern architectures. Diagnose electrical circuits, field devices, and communication protocols while executing functional testing plans and maintaining detailed records. Install, program, and commission BAS systems including GUIs and integrations, responding to service calls and supporting installation projects across Central and Southwest Virginia regions. Requires five years of hands-on BAS experience, electro-mechanical aptitude, and familiarity with Tridium, Alerton, and Schneider Electric systems. Flexible hours including evenings and overtime are necessary for this field role.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on BAS experience
- Proven electro-mechanical aptitude (via education or previous experience)
- Strong ability to read and interpret design and construction documents
- Comfortable working in various environments (heights, confined spaces, and extreme temperatures)
- Eligible to obtain a security clearance and pass a background investigation
- Valid driver's license with an insurable record; ability to operate a company vehicle
- Availability for flexible hours, including evenings and overtime as needed
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Familiarity with BAS systems such as Tridium, Alerton, Schneider Electric, Distech, Honeywell, ALC, Invensys, and Trane
Desired Qualifications
- Understanding of IP networks (subnets, routing, NAT, firewalls) is a plus
